March 1967: hounded by police and press, Keith Richards, Mick Jagger and Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones take refuge at the Hotel Es Saadi, Marrakech. Enchanted by Morocco, the band stay for some months, inducing a horde of hippy types to make the trip to Maghreb. Forty years on, Mick’s daughter, Jade, loves the country, and Marrakech remains a destination for any aspirant love child.

Fly there from Milan and Venice with Myair.com and book a room at the Stones’ old hotel at www.essaadi.com.
